RETROSPECTIVES

For the following, I am looking for less of a straight forward review and more of a retrospective assessment. Given the passage of time how does the film look now in comparison to when it first came out. What is your overall assessment? How (or why) has it stood the test of time. Why is it (or might it be) worth revisiting? For these, if you are interested in doing an essay/appreciation, e-mail me with a basic pitch–what is your approach/hook–and, if it sounds good, I’ll send you the DVD. (Keep in mind the general tenor of the blog–it’s not always, overtly Christian in every review, but pieces with a spiritual/religious/moral perspective [I intentionally use the terms very broadly/loosely] are particularly welcome.)
